Knitting Courses With The Homemade Mama:I offer a range of classes at Cordial & Grace in Clifton & Halo on Gloucester Road for beginners & intermediate levels. There are classes in Lace work & cable knitting as well as the basics. If you are interested in learning a particular knitting skill that isn't currently offered get in touch as i'm always planning new courses.
My aim is to offer reasonably priced classes (£5 per hour) that are fun to attend as well as informative. All courses are project based so that you can work towards a finished knitted item. There is always cakes & tea/coffee for us to enjoy while we knit together. Knitting is such a fun and relaxing hobby and i want my classes to reflex that. To enable me to focus on each student classes are limited to 8 people. As places are limited I advise that you book in advance. If a course is full i can put you on the waiting list for the next start date of the course. Course prices includes:
Individual Tuition:I also offer individual knitting tuition if you would rather have a one to one lesson. I charge £18.00 per 2 hour lesson & they can be held at your home if you prefer. Contact me for more details.

Knitting in the round workshop
A workshop for intermediate knitters (improver level) who want to learn & perfect their seamless knitting. We will cover using Double Pointed needles & a circular needles (magic loop) so that hat you can knit beautiful seamless garments such as socks, hats (like the one shown here), and jumpers with confidence
Materials: You will need to bring 3.5mm double pointed needle & a 3.5mm (50 or 60 cm length) circular needl and any DK yarn of your choice in 2 or 3 colours. Lesson time & Date: Saturday 2nd March 2013 11am-2pm location: Halo, Gloucester Road, Bristol Price: £15 per person (3 hour lesson). Knitting for Beginners & Improvers
A workshop suitable for beginners & Improvers who want to learn and gain confidence knitting. During the lesson you can select one of my specially written patterns that will enable you to make something fun & beautiful while you learn all of the skills you will need to get you started on the road to becoming a fantastic & confident knitter. We will cover the basics from reading patterns. casting on & binding off, knit and purl stitches, counting stitches & rows and increasing/ decreasing and changing colours.
Materials: If you have them you can bring 4mm needles and DK yarn of your choice however I have materials that can be used in the class. Lesson Time & Date: Tuesday 26th February 6.30-9pm Location: Cordial & Grace, Clifton Village Price: £12.50 per person (2.5 hour lesson) Baby Knits for Beginners
Whether you're pregnant, have a baby or are knitting for friends & family, knitting for babies is fun, quick & can be very simple! This class will teach you to knit either a baby hat, boots or mittens and covers:

Calling all Improver level knitters! Have you ever been frustrated that despite trying really hard your finished garments never look neat or like the picture on the pattern? Well this is the lesson for you! We will cover all aspects of how to perfect your knitting from ensuring you can decipher patterns correctly to how to finish, block & seam your garments to perfection!
Materials: You can bring your own items that need finishing if you like, but it's not necessary. Price: £15 per person (3 hour lesson) Class time & Date: Saturday 23rd March 11-2pm Location: Halo, Gloucester Road ,Bristol. Coming In Spring 2013!
