Once he's inside however I'm running out of ideas to keep him entertained that don't cost me the earth. We're on a tight budget and there are only so many days in a row that you can read the same books, play with the same toys and draw pictures with crayons! I think i'm getting more sick of all of the above than Henry to be honest, but I have been looking for new ideas to stop us all from getting to much cabin fever.
Some of my latest ideas have been inspired by my own childhood days at play school. Some of my clearest memories are of playing in the 'messy corner' with play dough, cornflour gloop & the water trays. All great fun & don't really cost more than a few 's that's what we have been doing.
I thought that just in case you were interested in trying them too I would pop the ingredients & instructions for you all too as I'm sure we're not the only ones running out of ideas in this awful excuse for a summer!
1 cup of cornflour
2 tbsp of water
Drop of food dye if you want it to be coloured.
Playdough......an oldie but a goodie!
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup of water
1 tbsp of sunflower oil
1/2 cup of salt
drop of food dye
1 tbsp of edible glitter
