Despite the weather I really did have a lovely time. I was lucky to meet some amazing new people who really made it a pleasure, including the lovely Libby who held the stall next to me. She's a fantastic woman who is a trained holistic massage therapist and maker of natural soaps & beauty products but also an experienced web developer! She'll also be at the next Love Food Festival on the 15th June at the paintworks. You can check out her work here. I also had a surprise to see that an old friend who I had lost contact with a few years ago was a stall holder! Andrew & I used to go running together all the time, but after both getting caught up in buying houses & having babies lost contact.....however as a hobby he now sells home delicious fudge & cakes with his brother James! It was lovely to see him & in return to for a hefty supply of fudge I decorated their stall with some of my bunting. They'll also be at the next Love Food Festival so i'm looking forward to catching up with everybody again!
The sun eventually did come out and I also got to spread the knitting love, handed out lots of cards, sold quite a few patterns, showed out of practice knitters how to get started again & decorated a little girl's magic wand (a twig to you and me!) with pretty coloured yarn & made her day. So i think considering the weather it was a pretty successful day......although i have to admit I am happy the next event is indoors! hahaha!
Right i'm off to the dentist for yet ANOTHER root canal! :( Wish me luck!!
